All that we needed
Was a few kind words from Ben
For a big rally

Thanks, Ben!

Up, up and away!
The Fed has saved the day!
Not that inflation’s low,
But perhaps the rise in rates will slow.

The God of Interest Rates

By Joey F.

Sometimes,
When my day comes to a slow,
And my mind releases
And relaxes,
I ponder

What it might be like
To be the God of Interest Rates

What if I were the Fed?
That all powerful economic being
Tyrant of the markets

Up! Down! Up! Down! Flat!
Would I relish in the power?
Would I love the spotlight?
Would I stand firm in the face of critics?

When I’m feeling down
Would I tickle rates just a little
To show who’s boss?

Would I speak to the future with greater clarity?
Or would I obfuscate just the same?

Would I know what to do in the face of economic adversity?
Would it matter?

Would I foresee?
Or is overreaction inherent to the system?

One day
In a different life
I would like to taste
What it would like to be the God of Interest Rates
